Pharmacist - Hialeah, FL

A PRN Pharmacist position is available to support pharmacy operations at an Indian Health Clinic. Working under the direct supervision of the Chief Health Officer, this role plays a vital part in delivering safe and effective patient care through comprehensive pharmacy services.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and dosing
• Prepare and dispense medications in compliance with regulatory and quality standards
• Verify proper filling of MedBoxes
• Counsel patients regarding medication use, potential side effects, and interactions
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, on treatment plans
• Perform medication reconciliation to maintain accurate medication histories
• Manage medication therapy for patients with chronic conditions
• Monitor for drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications
• Supervise pharmacy technicians in prescription filling, inventory management, and operational tasks
• Maintain precise patient records and documentation
• Ensure strict adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with active registration to practice
• Experience working in a clinical or community pharmacy setting
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices
• Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
• Ability to lead and supervise pharmacy support staff effectively
