Pharmacist - Hialeah, Florida

Seeking a skilled Pharmacist to support an Indian Health Clinic on a PRN basis. This contract role offers an opportunity to contribute to quality patient care by ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.

Responsibilities include overseeing daily pharmacy operations and collaborating closely with healthcare team members. You will review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and safety, dispense medications in line with regulatory standards, and counsel patients on proper medication use and potential side effects. In addition, you will manage and monitor medication therapy for patients with chronic conditions, perform medication reconciliation, and verify the correct filling of MedBoxes. Leadership duties involve supervising pharmacy technicians in prescription filling, inventory management, and workflow completion. Maintaining meticulous patient records and ensuring full compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations are essential aspects of this role.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Pharmacist licensure in good standing
• Experience working in clinic or hospital pharmacy settings, ideally with Indigenous health populations
• Strong knowledge of medication therapy management and drug safety protocols
• Proven ability to supervise pharmacy technicians and collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements governing pharmacy practice
• Commitment to patient education and counseling
