Pharmacist in High Point, NC

This role offers an engaging opportunity to practice specialized pharmacy compounding within a collaborative healthcare environment. The position is based in High Point, NC, with a contract-to-hire arrangement.

Schedule and Hours:

• 40 hours per week
• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every third Saturday, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• 30-minute lunch break daily

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense compounded prescriptions, including both sterile and non-sterile medications, in accordance with safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and handle inventory management.
• Provide expert pharmaceutical counseling to patients, ensuring optimal use of medications.
• Assist with the training and supervision of pharmacy technicians.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist in North Carolina.
• 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience preferred; recent graduates with a strong interest in compounding are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of USP 795, 797, and 800 compounding standards.
• Experience with retail pharmacy operations and prescription processing.
• Familiarity with pharmacy software such as PK or similar systems (training will be provided).
