An opportunity is available for a skilled pharmacist specializing in compounding to join a dynamic healthcare environment with a 13-week contract to hire position based in High Point, NC. This role offers the chance to work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to deliver individualized pharmaceutical care.
Schedule and Hours:
- 40 hours per week
- Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Every third Saturday, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 30-minute lunch break
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense compounded prescriptions, including both sterile and non-sterile medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to meet patient-specific medication needs.
- Maintain accurate patient records and efficiently manage pharmacy inventory.
- Provide expert pharmaceutical advice to promote optimum patient health outcomes.
- Assist in training and supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain high standards of practice.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed pharmacist in North Carolina.
- 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience preferred; new graduates with a passion for compounding are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with USP 795, 797, and 800 compounding standards.
- Experience with retail pharmacy operations and prescription processing.
- Exposure or willingness to learn pharmacy software similar to QS1 (training provided).
