Pharmacist - Hillsboro, Oregon

An opportunity for a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist (CPS) focused on managed care is available with a contract position offering remote work Monday through Friday. This role serves members by delivering clinical pharmacy services that support coordinated, evidence-based, and cost-effective care. The CPS collaborates closely with medical directors, nurse case managers, network physicians, and other providers to optimize medication therapy and improve health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and population-based disease management initiatives.
• Manage specialty pharmaceutical acquisition and coordinate care efforts.
• Perform drug utilization reviews and develop clinical pharmacy programs.
• Contribute to clinical policy development and participate in Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee activities.
• Review pharmacy and medical claims with strong attention to detail.
• Educate and consult with members, caregivers, physicians, pharmacists, and nurses.
• Communicate therapeutic recommendations effectively to healthcare providers.
• Maintain ongoing professional development and clinical education.
• Work efficiently within a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications/ Desired Experience:

• Current Pharmacist License in Oregon, Washington, or California.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a managed care setting, including prior authorizations, audits, appeals, and ALJ court hearings.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Commitment to enhancing quality of care and managing costs effectively.

Schedule:

• Remote work, Monday through Friday.
• Rare weekends required a few times per year.
