A remote Clinical Pharmacist Specialist role is available, focusing on managed care pharmacy within a dynamic health plan setting. This position requires a licensed pharmacist with strong expertise in clinical pharmacy services, collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective medication management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care through Medication Therapy Management (MTM) programs.
  • Engage in population-based disease management and specialty drug care coordination.
  • Conduct drug utilization reviews and participate in clinical policy development.
  • Communicate therapeutic recommendations tactfully to physicians to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with medical directors, nurse case managers, and network providers.
  • Participate actively in Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee activities.
  • Educate healthcare professionals and members on medication-related issues.
  • Develop and apply medical and drug policies to promote safe, evidence-based medication use.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment.
  • Maintain professional development and clinical pharmacy expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Active Pharmacist License in Oregon, Washington, or California is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a managed care environment, including prior authorizations, audits, appeals, and ALJ court hearings.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence provider prescribing practices effectively.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with strong time management capabilities.
  • Comfort working occasionally on rare weekends, a few times per year.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
