Per Diem Mail Order Pharmacist Opportunity in Hixson, TN

An independent compounding pharmacy seeking a skilled Per Diem Pharmacist to provide coverage during May 27-29, with ongoing opportunities available. This role is ideal for a pharmacist with experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment handling around 1,000 compounds daily.

Location:

• Hixson, Tennessee (Chattanooga area)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Lunch break: 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
• Saturday and Sunday: Closed
• Per Diem availability required, starting May 27-29 with continued needs

Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of 5 pharmacy technicians responsible for data entry, prescription fills, and managing phone calls
• Provide expert oversight to ensure accurate and efficient pharmacy operations
• Oversee the mail order eye drop department, managing the shipping of three specialized post-cataract surgery eye drop formulations
• Address and resolve any questions or issues that arise during pharmacy operations

Qualifications:

• Current, active Tennessee Pharmacist License in good standing
• Minimum of 1-2 years of pharmacist experience
• Mail order pharmacy experience preferred but not required
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team in a high-volume setting
