Per Diem Pharmacist | Hixson, Tennessee

A well-established independent compounding pharmacy is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to provide vacation coverage in the Chattanooga area. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment specializing in high-volume compounding, processing approximately 1,000 compounds daily.

Location: Hixson, TN (near Chattanooga)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
• Lunch break: 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
• Weekends: Closed

Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of five pharmacy technicians who handle data entry, prescription fills, and customer communication
• Provide expert answers to questions regarding prescriptions and pharmacy operations
• Oversee the mail order eye drop department, which ships three different formulations of post-cataract surgery eye drops
• Ensure smooth pharmacy operations and maintain compliance with regulatory standards

Qualifications:

• Current Tennessee Pharmacist License in good standing
• Minimum of 1-2 years of pharmacist experience
• Mail order pharmacy experience preferred but not required
• Ideal candidates include retired or semi-retired pharmacists, or recently graduated pharmacists seeking reliable, flexible work
