Per Diem Pharmacist | Hixson, Tennessee

A well-established independent compounding pharmacy is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to provide vacation coverage for ongoing needs in the Chattanooga area. This role is ideal for a retired or semi-retired pharmacist, or a recent graduate looking for flexible, part-time work in a supportive environment.

Located in Hixson, TN, the pharmacy expertly compounds approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily, including specialized mail order eye drop products used post-cataract surgery. The position involves overseeing a dedicated team of pharmacy technicians handling data entry, prescription filling, and customer communications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support 5 pharmacy technicians managing daily operations
• Address and resolve pharmacist-level inquiries
• Oversee the mail order eye drop department, ensuring accurate shipping of three varieties of post-cataract surgery drops
• Maintain compliance with all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations

Desired Qualifications:

• Current Tennessee Pharmacist License in good standing
• Minimum 1-2 years of pharmacist experience preferred
• Experience in mail order pharmacy is advantageous but not required
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills

Schedule and Location:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (lunch break from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM)
• Saturdays and Sundays closed
• Position based in Hixson, TN, with role supporting services in Chattanooga
