Pharmacist - Hollidaysburg, PA

Oversee pharmacy operations and lead a retail pharmacy team in a key management role situated in Altoona, PA. This direct hire position requires a professional experienced in pharmacy management within a retail setting, dedicated to ensuring high standards of customer service, compliance, and business growth.

Schedule:

• 36 hours per week
• Variable day and afternoon shifts

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with store operations to drive associate engagement and communicate company strategy to pharmacy staff.
• Ensure prescriptions are accurately filled and compliant with state and federal regulations through comprehensive Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance.
• Manage department profitability and encourage script growth by implementing clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
• Work closely with the District Manager and pharmacy team to control inventory and meet customer demand efficiently.
• Align department objectives with key measurable metrics to enhance Rx department effectiveness and efficiency.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing medical-related inquiries and offering healthcare counseling.
• Supervise, train, coach, and discipline pharmacists, associates, and support staff.
• Maintain pharmacy security and resolve customer issues to foster trust and loyalty.
• Liaise with physicians and utilize reference resources to resolve prescription concerns.
• Keep the pharmacy clean and organized, while promoting continuous staff development to optimize performance and reduce turnover.
• Prioritize and complete pharmacy tasks such as inventory cycle counts and managing will-call prescriptions promptly.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
• Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
• Current Pennsylvania Immunization License
