Pharmacist | Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania

An opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacy professional to lead and grow a retail pharmacy department in Altoona, PA. This Pharmacy Manager role offers a direct hire position with a 36-hour workweek and variable day and afternoon shifts, starting as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster a strong partnership with store operations, driving associate engagement and communicating department and company strategies.
• Ensure prescription accuracy and regulatory compliance by completing thorough Drug Utilization Reviews and Final Quality Assurance checks.
• Manage the pharmacy to build profitability and increase prescription growth through clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
• Collaborate with the District Manager and pharmacy staff to control inventory, monitor weekly sales, and optimize stock levels.
• Align performance objectives with key department metrics focused on operational effectiveness and efficiency.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing medical concerns and providing expert healthcare counseling.
• Supervise and coach pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff; manage training, discipline, and ongoing development.
• Maintain pharmacy security and handle customer issues to cultivate trust and loyalty.
• Interact with physicians and utilize reference materials to resolve prescription questions.
• Keep the pharmacy organized and clean, manage inventory cycle counts, and oversee will-call tasks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
• Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
• Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.

Schedule:

• 36 hours per week
