Oversee pharmacy operations and lead a retail pharmacy team in a key management role situated in Altoona, PA. This direct hire position requires a professional experienced in pharmacy management within a retail setting, dedicated to ensuring high standards of customer service, compliance, and business growth.

Schedule:
- 36 hours per week
- Variable day and afternoon shifts
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with store operations to drive associate engagement and communicate company strategy to pharmacy staff.
- Ensure prescriptions are accurately filled and compliant with state and federal regulations through comprehensive Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance.
- Manage department profitability and encourage script growth by implementing clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
- Work closely with the District Manager and pharmacy team to control inventory and meet customer demand efficiently.
- Align department objectives with key measurable metrics to enhance Rx department effectiveness and efficiency.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing medical-related inquiries and offering healthcare counseling.
- Supervise, train, coach, and discipline pharmacists, associates, and support staff.
- Maintain pharmacy security and resolve customer issues to foster trust and loyalty.
- Liaise with physicians and utilize reference resources to resolve prescription concerns.
- Keep the pharmacy clean and organized, while promoting continuous staff development to optimize performance and reduce turnover.
- Prioritize and complete pharmacy tasks such as inventory cycle counts and managing will-call prescriptions promptly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
- Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
- Current Pennsylvania Immunization License
