Per Diem Pharmacist in Holly Springs, NC

A home infusion pharmacy in Holly Springs, NC is seeking a skilled Pharmacist for per diem coverage from July 29 through August 5. This role focuses on sterile compounding in a clean room setting, ensuring accurate preparation and delivery of sterile pharmaceutical products to patients.

Schedule:

• 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Monday through Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in verifying pharmaceutical products entering the clean room for sterile compounding according to batch record lot numbers.
• Provide final accuracy checks of compounded sterile preparations (CSP), including labels, fill amounts, and drug information.
• Inspect final shipments going out to patients, ensuring all medical supplies match delivery tickets.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, field nurses, and patients regarding drug regimens, inventory, adverse reactions, and abnormal lab results.
• Conduct patient outreach to discuss medication deliveries, monitor inventory and compliance, and report issues to management.
• Handle incoming calls from MD offices, nursing agencies, and patients promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy or Master of Science in Pharmacy preferred.
• Current pharmacist license in North Carolina.
• Minimum two years recent experience in an acute-care setting, or one year in home infusion therapy.
• Strong knowledge and experience with intravenous admixture services and intravenous therapy.
• Proficiency with CPR+ software is a must.
