Per Diem Pharmacist - Holly Springs, NC

A per diem pharmacist opportunity is available supporting home infusion services in Holly Springs, NC. This role involves ensuring the accurate preparation and safe distribution of compounded sterile products (CSP) in a regulated clean room environment. The position requires proficiency with CPR+ software and offers a Monday through Friday schedule, 9 am to 5 pm, covering the period from July 29 through August 5.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify pharmaceutical products and drugs entering the clean room according to batch records and unique lot numbers.
• Conduct final verification of compounded sterile products, including labels, fill amounts, and drug information.
• Inspect final shipments to patients, ensuring all medications and medical supplies on delivery tickets are included.
• Communicate with physicians’ offices, field nurses, and patients regarding medication regimens, inventory status, potential drug reactions, and abnormal lab results.
• Contact patients to coordinate medication deliveries, assess inventory, monitor compliance, and report any concerns to management.
• Manage incoming calls from healthcare providers, nursing agencies, and patients efficiently and professionally.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Master of Science in Pharmacy preferred.
• Current pharmacist license in North Carolina.
• At least two years of recent experience in an acute-care setting or one year in home infusion therapy.
• Strong knowledge of intravenous admixture services and intravenous therapy.
• Skilled in using CPR+ software.
