A PRN pharmacist role is available at an Indian Health Clinic, offering an opportunity to contribute to a collaborative healthcare environment. Reporting directly to the Chief Health Officer, this position supports daily pharmacy operations with a focus on safe and effective medication management.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and appropriate dosing
  • Prepare and dispense medications according to regulatory and quality standards
  • Verify correct filling of MedBoxes
  • Counsel patients on medication use, possible side effects, and drug interactions
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient treatment plans
  • Perform medication reconciliation to ensure complete and accurate medication histories
  • Manage medication therapy for patients with chronic conditions
  • Monitor for drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians in prescription filling, inventory management, and workflow completion
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacist with current, unrestricted license in the state of practice
  • Experience in a clinical or community pharmacy setting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical best practices and regulatory standards
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively counsel patients and collaborate with healthcare teams
  • Ability to supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure operational efficiency
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation abilities

  • Scrubs or business casual (excluding all black attire)
