A healthcare facility in Hollywood, FL is seeking a skilled PRN Pharmacist to support its pharmacy operations within an Indian Health Clinic setting. This contract role involves working under the direction of the Chief Health Officer to ensure safe, effective medication management and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and appropriate dosing
• Prepare and dispense medications meeting regulatory and quality standards
• Verify accurate filling of MedBoxes
• Counsel patients regarding medication use, side effects, and interactions
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on treatment plans
• Perform medication reconciliation and manage therapy for chronic conditions
• Monitor for drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications
• Supervise pharmacy technicians in prescription filling, inventory management, and workflow
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations

Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist with a valid state pharmacy license
• Prior experience in clinical or ambulatory care pharmacy environments preferred
• Strong communication skills for patient counseling and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Knowledge of medication therapy management and reconciliation processes
• Ability to lead and oversee pharmacy support staff
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements
