Pharmacist - Hollywood, FL

A PRN Pharmacist position is available at an Indian Health Clinic in Hollywood, FL, offering the opportunity to provide exceptional pharmaceutical care within a dynamic healthcare environment. Reporting directly to the Chief Health Officer, this role is essential to supporting daily pharmacy operations, ensuring patient safety, and promoting effective medication management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and appropriate dosing
• Prepare and dispense medications in compliance with regulatory and quality standards
• Verify correct filling of MedBoxes for patient use
• Counsel patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and interactions
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to support treatment plans
• Perform medication reconciliation to maintain accurate medication histories
• Manage medication therapy for patients with chronic conditions
• Monitor for drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications to enhance patient safety
• Supervise pharmacy technicians in prescription filling, inventory management, and daily workflows
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with applicable state board
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Strong understanding of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices
• Excellent communication skills to effectively counsel and collaborate with patients and healthcare providers
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining meticulous attention to detail

Schedule/Hours:

• PRN – flexible as needed according to clinical requirements
