This role offers the opportunity to provide vital pharmacy services within a respected Indian Health Clinic setting. Reporting directly to the Chief Health Officer, you will contribute to the delivery of safe, effective patient care while supporting day-to-day pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and appropriate dosing
  • Prepare and dispense medications in compliance with regulatory and quality standards
  • Verify MedBox filling accuracy
  • Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and potential interactions
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize treatment plans
  • Perform medication reconciliation to ensure complete and accurate medication histories
  • Manage medication therapy for chronic condition patients
  • Monitor for drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians in prescription filling, inventory management, and operational workflows
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Licensed pharmacist in good standing
  • Experience in outpatient or clinic pharmacy preferred
  • Strong knowledge of medication therapy management and safety practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient counseling and team collaboration
  • Ability to lead and oversee pharmacy technicians and workflows
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards

  • Homestead, FL (Indian Health Clinic setting)
  • Dress code: Scrubs or business casual attire (excluding all black)
