A PRN pharmacist opportunity is available in a clinical setting focused on serving patients at an Indian Health Clinic. This role requires a detail-oriented professional dedicated to supporting daily pharmacy operations while fostering collaboration with the healthcare team. Reporting directly to the Chief Health Officer, the pharmacist will play a vital role in ensuring safe and effective medication management.

Key responsibilities include reviewing and verifying prescriptions for accuracy and safety, preparing and dispensing medications following regulatory standards, and verifying the correct filling of MedBoxes. The pharmacist will provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and potential interactions, while also collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to optimize treatment plans. Medication reconciliation and management of therapy for chronic conditions are essential components of this position. Additionally, overseeing pharmacy technicians in their duties and maintaining accurate records to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations will be fundamental.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist in good standing with state board of pharmacy
• Experience in clinical or community pharmacy settings, preferably within Indian Health or similar environments
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, drug therapies, and patient counseling techniques
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience supervising pharmacy technicians and managing pharmacy workflows
