A travel pharmacist opportunity is available in Honolulu, HI, for a dedicated professional with clinical hospital pharmacy experience. This role offers a dynamic schedule with guaranteed 40 hours per week, alternating between day and evening shifts over a 16-week assignment starting ASAP.
Schedule:
- Day Shift Rotation: Five 8-hour shifts per week (06:30-15:00 or 08:30-17:00)
- Evening Shift Rotation: Four 10-hour shifts per week (11:00-21:30 or 12:30-23:00)
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with medical teams during patient rounds to optimize drug therapy.
- Monitor patient medication regimens and adjust dosing, including pharmacokinetic calculations.
- Provide patient counseling and education on medication use.
- Manage unit dose and intravenous (IV) medication services.
- Ensure compliance with state pharmacy regulations and maintain accurate documentation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Clinical Hospital Pharmacist.
- Comfortable working closely with multidisciplinary medical teams.
- Experience in pharmacokinetic dosing and patient counseling preferred.
- Previous work with unit dose and IV services is a plus.
- Current Hawaii State Registered Pharmacist license required.
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree preferred.
- Post-graduate clinical residency accredited by ASHP is a strong advantage.
