Travel Pharmacist - Honolulu, Hawaii

A travel pharmacist opportunity is available in Honolulu, HI, offering a 16-week assignment starting ASAP. This role involves rotating between day and evening shifts with a guaranteed 40-hour workweek, providing variety and flexibility in your schedule.

Schedule:

• Day Shift Rotation: 5 days/week, 8-hour shifts (0630-1500 or 0830-1700)
• Evening Shift Rotation: 4 days/week, 10-hour shifts (1100-2130 or 1230-2300)

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with medical teams by rounding and actively participating in patient care.
• Monitor patient drug therapy, adjusting regimens as needed for safety and efficacy.
• Perform pharmacokinetic dosing to tailor medication plans.
• Provide patient counseling and education to ensure proper medication use.
• Manage unit dose and IV services efficiently to support inpatient pharmacy operations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Clinical Hospital Pharmacist.
• Proven experience in rounding with medical teams and monitoring clinical drug therapies.
• Familiarity with pharmacokinetic dosing and patient counseling.
• Experience with unit dose and IV services is highly desirable.
• Current Hawaii State license as a Registered Pharmacist.
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree preferred.
• Completion of a post-graduate clinical residency accredited by ASHP is an advantage.
