A dedicated pharmacist is needed to provide inpatient pharmacy services at a 25-bed critical access hospital serving a close-knit community near a scenic lake region. This travel role offers a balanced schedule and the opportunity to serve as a staff pharmacist, with potential to hold PIC responsibilities.
Location: Cadiz, Kentucky – a charming small town known for outdoor recreation and a peaceful lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care for inpatient services in a hospital setting with an average daily census of 12 to 18 patients
- Collaborate with a small pharmacy team consisting of two pharmacists, one technician, and one part-time pharmacist
- Manage medication distribution and ensure regulatory compliance within the CPSI system
- Participate in an 8 days on, 6 days off rotation alongside another full-time pharmacist
- Work shift hours from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with on-call duties as required
- Support continuity of care during the transition following the retirement of a long-term pharmacist
Desired Qualifications:
- Active pharmacist license in Kentucky or eligibility for licensure
- Experience in hospital inpatient pharmacy preferred; critical access hospital experience is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small pharmacy team
- Strong communication and clinical skills
- Willingness to provide on-call coverage
