Pharmacist in Horseheads, NY

A retail pharmacy opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to work at a well-established location in Elmira, NY. This permanent position offers a structured schedule and a chance to contribute to an efficient, customer-focused pharmacy environment.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Sunday: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the pharmacy manager to control inventory by tracking weekly sales and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand and maximize profits.
• Accurately weigh, measure, and mix drugs and medical compounds; fill prescriptions and non-prescription medications with proper composition and quantity.
• Provide guidance to patients for self-medication and maintain open communication with healthcare and insurance professionals.
• Administer patient immunizations regularly.
• In the absence of the pharmacy manager, handle scheduling of pharmacy associates, recognize performance, enforce discipline when necessary, and assign work to optimize team skills while achieving company objectives.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
• Active New York State pharmacist license.
• New York immunization certification is highly preferred.
• Ability to start immediately.
