Pharmacist - Horseheads, NY

A retail pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join their Elmira, NY location. This permanent position offers a structured schedule and the opportunity to work closely with a pharmacy team to ensure excellent customer care and efficient pharmacy operations.

Location:

• Elmira, NY

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9 AM to 7 PM
• Saturday: 9 AM to 5 PM
• Sunday: 10 AM to 2 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the pharmacy manager to control inventories by tracking weekly sales and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand and optimize profits.
• Accurately weigh, measure, and mix drugs and medical compounds, dispensing medications with correct quantities and compositions.
• Provide advice to self-medicating patients and dispense non-prescription medications.
• Maintain open communication with health and insurance professionals.
• Administer patient immunizations regularly.
• In the pharmacy manager’s absence, manage scheduling, recognize performance, handle disciplinary actions, and assign work to pharmacy associates to maximize efficiency and meet company goals.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
• Current New York State Pharmacist License
• Current New York State Immunization License preferred
• Ability to start immediately
