An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Pharmacist to join a retail pharmacy team in Elmira, NY. This permanent position offers a dynamic work environment where you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional pharmacy services and patient care.

Location: Elmira, NY
Setting: Retail Pharmacy
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9 AM – 7 PM
• Saturday: 9 AM – 5 PM
• Sunday: 10 AM – 2 PM

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the pharmacy manager to control inventories by tracking weekly sales and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand and optimize profits.
• Accurately weigh, measure, mix, and dispense prescription and non-prescription medications, ensuring correct dosages and compositions. Provide guidance and advice to self-medicating patients.
• Maintain open communication with healthcare providers and insurance professionals to facilitate seamless patient care.
• Administer patient immunizations regularly, supporting community health initiatives.
• In the absence of the Pharmacy Manager, oversee pharmacy associates’ scheduling, performance recognition, discipline, and work assignments to ensure efficient operations aligned with company goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree required.
• Current New York State Pharmacist License.
• Current New York Immunization Certification preferred.
• Ability to start immediately is essential.
