A skilled pharmacist is needed for overnight shifts at a women's health facility located in Houston, TX. This position involves managing medication processes to promote pharmaceutical care by preventing, identifying, and resolving drug-related issues for patients ranging from infants to adults. Location:

• Houston, TX (Pavilion for Women site)

Schedule:

• Overnight shift, 7 on/7 off
• Hours: 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM
• Contract duration: 14 weeks starting March 2

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication doses based on patient-specific factors such as diagnosis, weight, allergies, and drug interactions.
• Enter medication orders accurately into electronic medical records (EMR: EPIC), ensuring precision to avoid medication incidents.
• Confirm correct dispensing of medications and timely processing of orders within established clinical guidelines.
• Enforce and model aseptic technique and infection control practices, completing annual recertification with a minimum score of 90%.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience, pediatric experience preferred.
• Licensed pharmacist in Texas.
• ACPE IV Certification required.
