Pharmacist in Houston, TX

Provide clinical pharmacy services in a large, fast-paced hospital environment within the Texas Medical Center. This opportunity is ideal for licensed pharmacists with at least three years of inpatient experience who thrive in high-volume settings and have a strong understanding of hospital pharmacy operations.

Location: Houston, TX

Schedule:

• 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM or
• 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM

Contract Details:

• Immediate start
• 13 weeks + with potential for temp-to-hire

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately in compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize drug therapy and patient outcomes.
• Conduct medication reviews, monitor patient responses, and provide drug information.
• Participate in clinical rounds and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Utilize the EPIC system for medication management and documentation (EPIC experience preferred).
• Maintain adherence to safety protocols, including IV preparation and verification following Texas IV certification standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid Texas pharmacist license
• Texas IV certification
• Minimum 3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience
• Familiarity with hospital pharmacy systems, EPIC experience preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy hospital setting
