Pharmacist in Huntingdon, PA

Lead and manage the pharmacy operations of a busy retail setting in Altoona, PA, with a focus on driving business growth, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional customer service. This permanent Pharmacy Manager role offers a 36-hour workweek with variable day and afternoon shifts, allowing for some schedule flexibility. Immediate start is preferred.

Responsibilities include maintaining a strong partnership with the store operations team to boost associate engagement and communicate strategic goals; overseeing prescription accuracy through thorough drug utilization reviews and quality assurance aligned with state and federal regulations; and managing inventory effectively to meet customer demand while maximizing profitability. You will guide your pharmacy team by supervising pharmacists and support staff, directing training, coaching, and discipline to uphold high performance standards. Leading programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM), when available, will be key to script growth and customer health outcomes. Additional duties encompass resolving customer concerns, collaborating with healthcare providers, maintaining a secure and organized pharmacy, and prioritizing tasks such as cycle counts and will-calls to ensure smooth operations.

Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree, possess a current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License, and maintain a Pennsylvania Immunization License. Strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are essential to excel in this role.
