A retail pharmacy facility in Altoona, PA, seeks an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead its pharmacy department. This direct hire role offers 36 hours per week with a variable day/afternoon shift schedule. The position requires a proactive leader focused on driving operational excellence, associate engagement, and superior customer service to enhance pharmacy performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster collaboration with the store operations team and communicate company strategy to pharmacy staff.
  • Ensure prescription accuracy and compliance through thorough Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance following state and federal regulations.
  • Manage pharmacy profitability by promoting clinical programs, immunizations, and Medication Therapy Management (MTM) initiatives.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy leadership to control inventory, track sales, and order stock to maximize customer satisfaction and profits.
  • Align department objectives with key performance metrics to measure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff; lead training, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain pharmacy security and regulatory compliance.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints, building trust and loyalty.
  • Engage with healthcare providers to clarify prescription-related questions.
  • Oversee pharmacy cleanliness, orderly operations, and continuous personnel development.
  • Prioritize and complete essential pharmacy tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and customer will-calls.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or Pharm D degree
  • Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
  • Current Pennsylvania Immunization License
