Pharmacist in Hyannis, MA

A night shift Pharmacist role is available at a 200-bed community hospital located approximately 70 miles south of Boston on Cape Cod. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in a supportive hospital environment where your clinical expertise will directly impact patient care during the overnight hours.

Schedule:

• Night shift, 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Work 7 days on, followed by 7 days off

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth pharmacy operations
• Manage pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring
• Consult with physicians and nursing staff to optimize medication therapy
• Utilize hospital IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis for medication management

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Massachusetts Pharmacist license
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience is essential
• Competency in order verification and clinical pharmacy operations
• Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
