An opportunity is available for a night shift Pharmacist at a 200-bed community hospital located on Cape Cod, approximately 70 miles south of Boston. This contract position offers a 7-on, 7-off schedule, working from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, providing a consistent overnight routine.

Responsibilities include:

• Verifying medication orders to ensure accuracy and safety
• Supervising pharmacy technicians and guiding daily pharmacy operations
• Applying pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient drug therapy
• Consulting with physicians and nursing staff to provide expert pharmaceutical advice
• Utilizing hospital IT systems such as EPIC and Pyxis for medication management

Ideal candidates will meet the following qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts Pharmacist license
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently during overnight hours
