Pharmacist - Hyannis, Massachusetts

A pharmacist position is available for a 13-week contract in an outpatient/retail pharmacy attached to a hospital setting on Nantucket, MA. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a scenic location while gaining valuable experience in a hospital-affiliated retail environment.

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in an outpatient/retail pharmacy.
• Utilize McKesson EnterpriseRX pharmacy system for prescription processing and inventory management.
• Provide patient counseling and support on medication use and safety.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Cover duties for an existing vacancy, ensuring seamless pharmacy operations.

Qualifications:

• Valid Massachusetts pharmacist license.
• Experience in retail pharmacy settings.
• Proficiency or previous experience with McKesson EnterpriseRX system is highly preferred.
• Availability to work full-time, providing five 8-hour day shifts per week.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to adapt to living and working on an island community.

Location:

• The assignment is located on Nantucket Island, MA.
• Daily commuting involves ferry transportation to and from the island.
• Housing is provided by the hospital in shared apartments with other travelers due to limited local accommodations.

Schedule:

• Five 8-hour day shifts per week.
