Pharmacist - Hyattsville, Maryland

A specialty pharmacy focused on behavioral health medications is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for a full-time contract position. This role offers an opportunity to provide expert pharmaceutical care in a supportive setting, working alongside a dedicated team to manage medication therapies impacting behavioral health.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 3 to 5 days per week (flexibility offered; preference for 3 days, but 5 days available if desired)

Responsibilities:

• Verify and dispense prescriptions accurately to ensure patient safety
• Provide thorough patient counseling regarding medication therapies
• Supervise and manage pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and quality
• Collaborate with a team of pharmacists, maintaining coverage with two RPh on site at all times

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Active Maryland Pharmacist license in good standing with no disciplinary history
• Experience in retail or specialty pharmacy settings preferred
• Prior work with behavioral health medications strongly preferred
• Proficiency with PioneerRX pharmacy system is beneficial

Pharmacy Environment:

• Handling a daily prescription volume of 100–200
• Supported by 5 pharmacy technicians and 1 fellow staff pharmacist
