An established compounding pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to oversee regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and operational leadership at its Ohio facility. This onsite role offers long-term career stability, leadership visibility, and the opportunity to contribute to a nationally recognized organization. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as PIC for Ohio and other non-resident state licenses as required
- Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, State Boards of Pharmacy, and Section 503B regulations
- Maintain pharmacist and facility licensure across multiple states
- Lead facility inspections and represent the site during regulatory meetings with authorities
- Develop, review, and update SOPs and training programs
- Manage regulatory reporting, recalls, complaints, and quality investigations
- Oversee Quality Assurance/Quality Control including batch record reviews, deviation investigations, and environmental monitoring
- Manage validation activities and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Approve change controls, product labeling, and annual product reviews
- Oversee vendor qualification and reserve sample programs
- Present quality metrics to site and corporate leadership
Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
- Minimum 5 years leadership experience with team management
- Strong knowledge of cGMP, FDA, DEA regulations, sterile injectable manufacturing, and non-sterile compounding
- Experience leading inspections and regulatory audits
- Excellent communication skills with ability to simplify complex compliance topics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
Preferred: - 10+ years in pharma, biotech, or medical device industries
- 7+ years in quality or compliance roles with progressive responsibility
