A leading compounding pharmacy is seeking a seasoned Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to oversee regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and operational leadership at its Albany, Ohio facility. This onsite position offers opportunities for long-term growth and strong leadership development in a nationally recognized organization. Candidates considering relocation will be supported with assistance, and a temp-to-perm travel option may be available for the right fit.

  • Monday through Friday

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the designated Pharmacist-in-Charge for Ohio and maintain additional non-resident state licenses as required
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, State Boards of Pharmacy, and Section 503B regulations
  • Lead and represent the facility during Board of Pharmacy, FDA, and DEA inspections
  • Develop, review, and maintain SOPs and training programs to support regulatory requirements
  • Oversee regulatory reporting, recalls, complaints, and quality investigations
  • Manage quality assurance and control activities including batch record review, deviations, and environmental monitoring
  • Lead validation activities covering equipment, systems, and processes
  • Implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Approve change controls, product labeling, and annual product reviews
  • Oversee vendor qualification, incoming materials, and reserve sample programs
  • Present quality metrics to site and corporate leadership

Qualifications

  • Active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ leadership experience managing teams within pharmacy or related industries
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP, FDA and DEA regulations, sterile injectable manufacturing, and non-sterile compounding
  • Proven experience leading inspections and regulatory audits
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Multi-state licensure experience preferred

Preferred Experience

  • 10+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sectors
  • 7+ years in quality or compliance roles with increasing responsibility
