Pharmacist-in-Charge – Compounding Pharmacy
Albany, Ohio | Temp-to-Perm or Direct Hire Opportunity
A nationally recognized compounding pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to oversee regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and operational leadership at its Ohio facility. This onsite role offers long-term stability, professional growth, and exposure to strong leadership responsibilities. Relocation assistance is available, and a temp-to-perm traveler option may be considered for the right candidate open to flexible arrangements.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- Onsite in Albany, Ohio
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge for Ohio and maintain licensure across multiple non-resident states as required
- Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, State Boards of Pharmacy, and Section 503B regulations
- Lead and represent the facility during Board of Pharmacy, FDA, and DEA inspections
- Develop, review, and maintain SOPs, training programs, and regulatory reporting
- Oversee quality assurance and control functions including batch record review, deviations, investigations, and environmental monitoring
- Manage validation activities for equipment, systems, and processes
- Implement and sustain the Quality Management System (QMS) and review change controls and product labeling
- Present quality metrics and regulatory updates to site and corporate leadership
Qualifications:
- Active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
- Minimum 5 years leadership experience managing teams within pharmaceutical or compounding pharmacy settings
- Strong knowledge of cGMP, FDA, DEA regulations, sterile injectable manufacturing, and non-sterile compounding
- Experience with multi-state licensure preferred
- Proven ability to lead inspections and regulatory audits
- Excellent communication skills and Microsoft Office proficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industries
- 7+ years in quality or compliance roles with increasing responsibility
