Pharmacist-in-Charge – Compounding Pharmacy
Albany, Ohio | Temp-to-Perm or Direct Hire Opportunity

A nationally recognized compounding pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to oversee regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and operational leadership at its Ohio facility. This onsite role offers long-term stability, professional growth, and exposure to strong leadership responsibilities. Relocation assistance is available, and a temp-to-perm traveler option may be considered for the right candidate open to flexible arrangements.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • Onsite in Albany, Ohio

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge for Ohio and maintain licensure across multiple non-resident states as required
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, State Boards of Pharmacy, and Section 503B regulations
  • Lead and represent the facility during Board of Pharmacy, FDA, and DEA inspections
  • Develop, review, and maintain SOPs, training programs, and regulatory reporting
  • Oversee quality assurance and control functions including batch record review, deviations, investigations, and environmental monitoring
  • Manage validation activities for equipment, systems, and processes
  • Implement and sustain the Quality Management System (QMS) and review change controls and product labeling
  • Present quality metrics and regulatory updates to site and corporate leadership

Qualifications:

  • Active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
  • Minimum 5 years leadership experience managing teams within pharmaceutical or compounding pharmacy settings
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP, FDA, DEA regulations, sterile injectable manufacturing, and non-sterile compounding
  • Experience with multi-state licensure preferred
  • Proven ability to lead inspections and regulatory audits
  • Excellent communication skills and Microsoft Office proficiency

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industries
  • 7+ years in quality or compliance roles with increasing responsibility
