A part-time opportunity is available for a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at an Opioid Treatment Center in Alexandria, Louisiana. This contract position requires a commitment of 20 hours per week, primarily scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The engagement spans one year, with potential for extension or conversion to a permanent role.

Responsibilities include overseeing pharmacy operations as the Pharmacist in Charge, performing thorough chart reviews, and maintaining precise documentation. The role involves verifying prescriptions, filling prescriptions as needed when technician support is unavailable, and preparing internal reports using Microsoft Excel. Ensuring compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations is critical. The position requires the ability to work independently and manage duties with minimal patient interaction unless specifically requested. Notably, this role does not include billing or insurance responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Pharmacist license in good standing with no negative history
• 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience
• Substance abuse or opioid treatment experience preferred but not mandatory
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong ability to work independently

This contract role offers compensation at $65 per hour.
