An opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to serve as the Interim Pharmacist in Charge at a specialized retail HIV/AIDS pharmacy in Apopka, FL. This contract position covers a 16-week paternity leave, beginning August 24th, including a two-week training period alongside the current PIC to ensure a smooth transition.
Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
This is a single pharmacist site without pharmacy technicians, handling a daily volume of 20-30 prescriptions. The ideal candidate will bring the ability to independently manage workflow while maintaining exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all pharmacy operations as the Pharmacist in Charge
- Accurately dispense and counsel patients on HIV/AIDS specialty medications
- Maintain strong lines of communication with patients and healthcare providers
- Uphold a positive, reliable presence and commitment to consistent attendance
- Engage in ongoing training and utilize QS1 pharmacy software effectively
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Florida pharmacist license required
- Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience
- Previous experience dispensing HIV/AIDS medications highly preferred—please confirm
- Familiarity with QS1 software is a strong plus
