Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Ashland, Missouri

An inpatient behavioral health facility in Columbia, MO is seeking an Interim Pharmacist in Charge/Director of Pharmacy to begin immediately. This assignment starts with two days of cross-training beginning 4/29 and transitions to independent work on 5/1, continuing until a permanent hire is made.

Location:

• Columbia, MO

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with a 30-minute unpaid meal break

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all pharmacy operations as Pharmacist in Charge
• Manage medication distribution within an inpatient behavioral health setting
• Utilize automated dispensing systems and restock reports efficiently
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and facility policies

Qualifications:

• Valid Missouri Pharmacist license
• Experience with Omnicell automated dispensing systems preferred
• Ability to repackage medications using Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL systems is desirable
• Basic knowledge of loading drugs into automated machines and running restock reports
