An experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) is needed to lead regulatory, compliance, and quality operations at a compounding pharmacy in Albany, Ohio. This onsite role offers long-term stability, leadership exposure, and growth potential with support for relocation or temporary travel arrangements for the right candidate. The position is temp-to-perm with the option for direct hire.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • Onsite in Albany, Ohio

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as PIC for Ohio and other required non-resident state licenses
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, State Boards of Pharmacy, and Section 503B regulations
  • Maintain pharmacist and facility licensure for multiple states
  • Lead and represent the facility during Board of Pharmacy, FDA, and DEA inspections
  • Develop, review, and update SOPs and provide staff training
  • Manage regulatory reporting, recalls, complaints, and quality investigations
  • Oversee QA/QC including batch review, deviations, investigations, environmental monitoring, and validation activities
  • Implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Approve change controls, product labeling, and annual product reviews
  • Manage vendor qualification, incoming materials, and reserve sample programs
  • Present quality metrics to site and corporate leadership
  • Provide regulatory guidance to cross-functional teams

Qualifications:

  • Active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing teams
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP, FDA and DEA regulations, sterile injectable manufacturing, and non-sterile compounding
  • Proven ability to lead inspections and regulatory audits
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Licensure in multiple states preferred

Preferred Experience:

  • 10+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or related industries
  • 7+ years in quality or compliance roles with increasing responsibility
