Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Avondale, Pennsylvania

An opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at a micro-hospital facility with a focus on both emergency department and inpatient care. This role requires a professional with inpatient experience capable of independently managing pharmacy operations within a small, specialized healthcare setting.

Location: West Grove, PA
Contract Duration: May 18 – June 30, with potential for extension
Schedule: Monday through Friday, day shift
On-Call: Required, with minimal likelihood of being called in

Key Responsibilities:

• Assume full Pharmacist in Charge duties including audits, inventory management, and restocking
• Oversee pharmacy operations independently at a 10-bed Emergency Department and 10-bed inpatient micro-hospital
• Utilize Cerner for order entry and Omnicell for automation systems
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and facility standards without sterile compounding requirements
• Collaborate remotely with the local PIC and Pharmacy Director for training and ongoing guidance

Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license is mandatory
• Proven inpatient pharmacy experience essential for autonomous operation
• Strong organizational and leadership capabilities to manage pharmacy responsibilities single-handedly
• Familiarity with Cerner order entry and Omnicell automation preferred
