A premier animal health compounding pharmacy in Bakersfield, CA, is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Supervisor to lead and manage their compounding pharmacists. This full-time, onsite role is critical to ensuring the production of high-quality compounded preparations that meet rigorous quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and deep expertise in pharmacy compounding within an animal health setting.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of pharmacists to optimize productivity and quality
- Oversee daily compounding operations, workflow, and adherence to procedures
- Ensure compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards as well as state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Maintain accurate training records and facilitate continuous education on compounding best practices
- Assist with drug selection for compounded preparations and dispensing
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and formulations
- Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and cross-functional departments
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold company policies
Qualifications:
- Current California Pharmacist license in good standing
- BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited program
- Minimum 2 years managing pharmacy laboratory personnel
- 2–5 years hands-on compounding experience in a pharmacy setting
- Strong knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800>, State Board regulations, and 503A requirements
- Proven leadership, mentoring, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

- Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM–5:15 PM

This contract role offers a competitive base salary range from $160,000 to $185,000 plus bonus opportunities, commensurate with experience. Eligible benefits are provided.
