A full-time Pharmacy Supervisor opportunity is available in Bakersfield, CA, focusing on compounding within an animal health pharmacy environment. This onsite role calls for an experienced pharmacist to lead a team dedicated to producing high-quality compounded medications while ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of pharmacists to achieve productivity and quality goals
  • Oversee daily compounding operations and workflow management
  • Ensure strict adherence to USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards and maintain accurate training records
  • Assist with drug selection for dispensing and compounding preparations
  • Identify opportunities for process and formulation improvements
  • Collaborate effectively with pharmacy leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all company, state, and federal regulations

Qualifications:

  • Current California Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 2 years managing pharmacy lab personnel
  • Between 2 and 5 years’ experience in compounding pharmacy
  • Strong knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800>, State Board regulations, and 503A requirements
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM

Compensation and Benefits: This full-time position offers a competitive base salary range of $160,000 to $185,000 plus bonus potential, dependent on experience. Eligible candidates will also enjoy benefits that support their health and professional growth.
