A retail pharmacy leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee pharmacy operations during a 16-week interim assignment. This role supports a specialty HIV/AIDS pharmacy with a moderate prescription volume and requires strong leadership and dispensing skills in a single-pharmacist setting without pharmacy technician support.

Duration: 16 weeks
Start Date: August 24 (including 2-week overlap training with current PIC)
Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the sole pharmacist managing all aspects of pharmacy dispensing and operations
- Provide high-quality patient care and communication tailored to the HIV/AIDS patient population
- Maintain clear, professional communication with healthcare providers and patients
- Ensure consistent attendance with a reliable, positive approach
- Manage daily dispensing volume of 20-30 prescriptions efficiently and accurately
- Participate in ongoing training and support after initial transition period
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Florida Pharmacist license required
- Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy experience
- Experience or familiarity with HIV/AIDS medication dispensing is mandatory and must be noted on the resume
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient care excellence
- Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy software highly preferred
- Ability to operate independently without pharmacy technician support
