A retail pharmacy leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee pharmacy operations during a 16-week interim assignment. This role supports a specialty HIV/AIDS pharmacy with a moderate prescription volume and requires strong leadership and dispensing skills in a single-pharmacist setting without pharmacy technician support.

Location: Bonita Springs, FL
Type: Contract
Duration: 16 weeks
Start Date: August 24 (including 2-week overlap training with current PIC)
Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the sole pharmacist managing all aspects of pharmacy dispensing and operations
  • Provide high-quality patient care and communication tailored to the HIV/AIDS patient population
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with healthcare providers and patients
  • Ensure consistent attendance with a reliable, positive approach
  • Manage daily dispensing volume of 20-30 prescriptions efficiently and accurately
  • Participate in ongoing training and support after initial transition period

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active Florida Pharmacist license required
  • Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy experience
  • Experience or familiarity with HIV/AIDS medication dispensing is mandatory and must be noted on the resume
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient care excellence
  • Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy software highly preferred
  • Ability to operate independently without pharmacy technician support
