An immediate opening is available for an Interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to support a 340B pharmacy setting. This role requires a highly qualified pharmacist with multiple active state licenses to seamlessly step in should a current PIC resign. The position offers a contract duration of 3 to 6 months with onsite work primarily in New York and California, with schedule options during days and afternoons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all PIC duties ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
- Manage pharmacy staff and workflow to maintain efficient pharmaceutical services.
- Ensure adherence to 340B program requirements and proper medication dispensing.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and administration to facilitate optimal patient care.
- Monitor inventory and handle reporting responsibilities.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed pharmacist with multiple active licenses from the following states (strongly preferred): AK, AL, AR, CA, IA, ID, IL, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MS, NE, NV, OK, OR, TN, TX, VA, WV.
- Prior experience serving as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) in a 340B pharmacy or similar healthcare environment.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to commit for the contract duration of 3-6 months.
Location:
