This opportunity seeks an Interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to support a 340b pharmacy setting onsite, with primary locations in California and New York. The assignment spans approximately 3 to 6 months during which you will execute the full scope of PIC responsibilities, ensuring compliance and operational excellence within the pharmacy.
Ideal candidates will possess multiple active pharmacy licenses, facilitating prompt coverage when a permanent PIC position becomes vacant. Licenses in the following states are highly valued: AK, AL, AR, CA, IA, ID, IL, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MS, NE, NV, OK, OR, TN, TX, VA, and WV. Demonstrating licensure in several of these states will enhance your candidacy significantly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume all regulatory and managerial duties of the Pharmacist in Charge
- Oversee pharmacy operations ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations
- Maintain compliance with 340b program requirements
- Coordinate with physicians and healthcare providers to support prescription processes
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting procedures are followed
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active pharmacy licenses from one or more of the specified states
- Proven experience functioning as a Pharmacist in Charge
- Strong knowledge of 340b pharmacy compliance standards
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to step into interim roles on short notice
