An immediate opening is available for an Interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee pharmacy operations at a specialized 7-bed emergency department and 8-bed inpatient micro-hospital. This contract role offers a unique opportunity to manage pharmacy services at a facility with a focused patient population, ensuring safety and compliance in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the sole Pharmacist in Charge, managing all pharmacy operations and inventories.
• Perform staff pharmacist duties alongside PIC responsibilities, including medication order verification and patient safety oversight.
• Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Manage restocking and monitor drug security, addressing any past concerns regarding controlled substances.
• Collaborate remotely with the local PIC and Pharmacy Director for ongoing training and operational guidance.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support pharmacy needs beyond standard hours.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Wisconsin pharmacist licensure (WI state license required).
• Proven inpatient pharmacy experience, with familiarity in acute care environments.
• Proficiency with Epic order entry system and Omnicell automation.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills necessary for solo PIC management.
• Commitment to upholding medication safety and compliance standards.

Schedule:

• Day shift, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
