Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) - Brooklyn, New York

A retail pharmacist is needed to serve as Interim Pharmacist in Charge for a community health center pharmacy in Brooklyn, New York. This contract assignment will last 4 to 8 weeks, starting as soon as possible. The role primarily covers first shift hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, utilizing Pioneer pharmacy software.

Responsibilities include overseeing the safe and accurate dispensing of medications under managerial supervision, counseling patients on medication usage, handling patient inquiries and concerns following organizational protocols, managing stock and controlled substance records, and resolving issues related to patient medication coverage.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current, active pharmacist license in New York State
• Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience
• Prior retail pharmacy management experience preferred, though skilled staff pharmacists comfortable fulfilling PIC duties are encouraged to apply
