Take on a leadership role as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) at an integrated, closed-door pharmacy embedded within a behavioral health hospital setting in Wichita Falls, TX. This position offers a unique opportunity to manage pharmacy operations focused exclusively on behavioral health medications, supporting a hospital environment with a patient-centered approach. The pharmacy operates with automation and streamlined workflows, handling a daily script volume of 350-400 prescriptions without administering vaccines.

Location: Wichita Falls, TX
Start Date: ASAP
Type: Contract-to-Hire, Local Only
Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations as Pharmacist-in-Charge, ensuring regulatory compliance and quality control
  • Manage and support pharmacy staff, including a staff pharmacist and pharmacy technicians
  • Maintain efficient workflow using Enterprise RX software and integrated automation
  • Dispense behavioral health medications, focusing on accuracy and patient safety
  • Collaborate closely with the behavioral health hospital to meet medication needs effectively

Qualifications:

  • Active Texas Pharmacy License (required)
  • Minimum 1 year of pharmacy management or PIC experience (essential)
  • 2+ years of pharmacist experience, including retail experience acceptable
  • Ability to lead a multidisciplinary pharmacy team in a fast-paced environment
