This local pharmacist-in-charge role offers an opportunity to lead a specialized pharmacy embedded in a behavioral health hospital environment. The position requires a Texas-licensed pharmacist with proven management experience to oversee daily pharmacy operations in a setting focused exclusively on behavioral health medications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC), ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality patient care
  • Manage pharmacy operations in a closed-door, hospital-contracted setting
  • Oversee a daily script volume of 350–400 prescriptions
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff including one staff pharmacist and four technicians
  • Utilize Enterprise RX software and adhere to streamlined workflows supporting efficient prescription fulfillment
  • Support a pharmacy model combining walk-in clinic services with outbound medication dispensing

Qualifications:

  • Texas pharmacist license, required
  • Minimum 1 year of PIC or pharmacy management experience
  • At least 2 years of pharmacist experience; retail experience acceptable
  • Ability to oversee behavioral health medication dispensing and maintain compliance in a specialized pharmacy setting

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Additional Details: The pharmacy operates separately from the clinic, does not administer vaccines, and focuses exclusively on behavioral health pharmaceuticals. Automation processes help facilitate a high-volume and efficient workflow.

This role has an urgent start due to the current PIC transitioning out, with a last day of March 6th. This is a contract-to-hire position for local candidates based in the Wichita Falls, TX area.
