An exceptional opportunity is available for an experienced bilingual Pharmacist in Charge to oversee pharmacy operations in Camden, NJ. This role requires a strong leader with a commitment to regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and patient safety. The position is a contract role with potential for contract-to-hire or other arrangements.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Saturday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the pharmacy complies with all state and federal regulations, including investigating any improper activities.
- Manage, train, and supervise all pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures related to medication dispensing, safety, and security.
- Oversee inventory management to maintain accurate records and proper storage of medications, especially controlled substances.
- Lead quality assurance and performance improvement programs, provide patient counseling, and promote patient safety.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active and clear New Jersey pharmacist license.
- Minimum of 2 years’ management experience in a pharmacy setting.
- 3+ years of recent community pharmacy experience preferred.
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required.
- Proficiency with Pioneer RX computer system is a plus.
- Experience managing a pharmacy with a daily volume of approximately 20-25 prescriptions.
- Strong technical support and problem-solving capabilities.
