Seeking an experienced Pharmacist in Charge to oversee pharmacy operations in a community setting. This contract opportunity offers open options for contract-to-hire arrangements and requires strong leadership and bilingual communication skills in Spanish and English.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure full regulatory compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, including managing investigations related to improper activities.
- Supervise and train pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians, to maintain high-performance standards.
- Develop and enforce operational policies and procedures surrounding medication dispensing, safety, and security protocols.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring accurate record-keeping and safe storage of all medications, especially controlled substances.
- Promote patient safety and quality through performance improvement initiatives, patient counseling, and quality assurance management.
Qualifications:
- Active and clear New Jersey pharmacist license required.
- Minimum of 2 years management experience in a pharmacy setting.
- Preferred 3+ years recent experience, with a background in community pharmacy practice.
- Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Proficiency with Pioneer RX computer system is essential.
- Ability to manage a prescription volume of approximately 20-25 scripts daily.
- Strong pharmacy technician support available.
