This opportunity is seeking an experienced Pharmacist in Charge to oversee a community pharmacy setting. The role involves leadership and operational responsibilities to ensure regulatory compliance, patient safety, and smooth pharmacy function. The position is ideal for a bilingual professional skilled in both English and Spanish with a solid background in pharmacy management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the pharmacy adheres to all state and federal regulations, taking charge of investigations related to any improper activities.
- Manage and supervise pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, including training and daily oversight.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures related to medication dispensing, safety protocols, and security measures.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, focusing on medication storage practices, especially controlled substances.
- Lead initiatives for quality assurance, patient counseling, and performance improvement within the pharmacy.
Qualifications:
- Active and clear New Jersey Pharmacist license.
- Minimum of 2 years management experience in a pharmacy setting.
- At least 3 years recent experience in community pharmacy preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
- Familiarity with Pioneer RX computer system.
- Ability to handle a daily prescription volume of 20-25 scripts.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Saturday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
