Lead pharmacy operations as the Pharmacist in Charge at a dynamic community pharmacy located in Camden, NJ. This contract position offers flexibility for contract, contract to hire, or other arrangements. The role requires strong leadership in regulatory compliance, staff management, and patient safety within a busy pharmacy environment processing 20-25 prescriptions daily.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 9 AM – 6 PM
- Saturday: 9 AM – 1 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, including oversight of investigations related to improper activities.
- Manage, train, and supervise all pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians, fostering a productive and compliant team environment.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures governing medication dispensing, safety standards, and security protocols.
- Oversee inventory control, maintaining accurate records and proper storage of medications, especially controlled substances.
- Lead patient safety initiatives and quality assurance programs, including counseling to support optimal health outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active and clear New Jersey pharmacist license is mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years of management experience within a pharmacy setting.
- At least 3 years of recent community pharmacy experience preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is essential.
- Proficient with Pioneer RX pharmacy software.
- Ability to work collaboratively and utilize effective technical support resources.
