This position calls for an experienced Pharmacist in Charge to lead and oversee pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. The role requires a bilingual professional fluent in Spanish and English, capable of managing staff and maintaining smooth, safe, and effective pharmacy services.
Location: Camden, NJ
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 9 AM – 6 PM
- Saturday: 9 AM – 1 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the pharmacy adheres to all state and federal laws, handling investigations of any improper activity.
- Manage, train, and supervise pharmacy staff including pharmacists and technicians.
- Develop, implement, and enforce policies related to medication dispensing, safety, and security.
- Maintain accurate medication inventory records, paying special attention to controlled substances.
- Oversee patient safety initiatives, including counseling and quality assurance programs.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Active and clear New Jersey Pharmacist license.
- Minimum of 2 years’ management experience in a pharmacy setting.
- At least 3 years of recent experience in community pharmacy preferred.
- Proficient with Pioneer RX software.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, essential for patient and staff communication.
- Comfortable managing a prescription volume of approximately 20-25 scripts daily.
- Strong collaboration with pharmacy technicians with good technical support.
