A 16-week interim Pharmacist in Charge opportunity is available to cover a paternity leave in a unique retail HIV/AIDS specialty pharmacy setting. This role requires a dedicated pharmacist to manage a single-pharmacist site, directly handling 20-30 prescriptions daily without the support of a pharmacy technician. Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Oversee pharmacy operations as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC), ensuring compliance and quality patient care
- Dispense medications accurately, focusing on HIV/AIDS specialty prescriptions
- Maintain strong communication with patients and healthcare providers to support adherence and clinical outcomes
- Manage workflow efficiently, as no pharmacy technician assistance is available
- Collaborate with the training PIC during the initial two weeks and adapt to ongoing training provided remotely
- Exhibit reliability and a positive attitude, demonstrating commitment to the role
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Valid Florida pharmacist license
- At least 1 year of retail pharmacy experience
- Experience in dispensing HIV/AIDS medications must be clearly noted on resume
- Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy software is highly preferred
- Excellent communication skills with patients and healthcare providers
- Ability to work independently without a pharmacy technician supporting
