Pharmacist in Charge in Carson City, NV

This opportunity offers an interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) role providing essential leadership and oversight at a retail pharmacy setting. The position requires a licensed pharmacist ready to assume full PIC responsibilities with the Nevada Board of Pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee daily pharmacy operations to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations
• Provide guidance and support to the pharmacy team, including an experienced technician staff
• Assume accountability for medication dispensing accuracy and safe pharmaceutical practices
• Maintain documentation and reporting as required by the Nevada Board of Pharmacy
• Collaborate with corporate and local management to ensure smooth, efficient pharmacy functioning

Qualifications:

• Current and active Pharmacist license in the state of Nevada
• Eligible and willing to serve as Pharmacist in Charge under Nevada Board of Pharmacy regulations
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices
• Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities
• Ability to maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
• Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Location: Reno, Nevada

This is a 6 to 8-week contract beginning Monday, May 11, providing vital interim coverage for an established pharmacy. The technician team on-site is experienced, enabling the PIC to focus on leadership and compliance.
