A growing independent 503A non-sterile compounding pharmacy seeks a dedicated Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to join their team in Tempe, AZ. Specializing in dermatology, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), hair restoration, wellness, and weight management, this pharmacy serves a nationwide telemedicine network and continues to expand its footprint. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers the chance to play a key leadership role in a small, agile team focused on quality and compliance.

Location: Tempe, AZ (On-site)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Remote Flexibility: Possible partial remote hours weekly
Contract Duration: 13 weeks with potential for permanent hire
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain regulatory oversight and ensure compliance as Pharmacist in Charge
  • Conduct final verification checks on non-sterile compounded prescriptions
  • Review and approve compounding formulas, batch records, and quality control documentation
  • Ensure adherence to USP standards and California/Arizona Board of Pharmacy regulations
  • Collaborate closely with the existing PIC and pharmacy staff to support daily operations

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active California Pharmacist License (required, no exceptions)
  • Active Arizona Pharmacist License or willingness to obtain preferred
  • Strong background in non-sterile compounding
  • Prior experience as a Pharmacist in Charge or readiness to assume the role
  • Ability to work on-site five days per week in Tempe, AZ
