An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead regulatory and operational activities at a compounding pharmacy in Chandler, AZ. This contract role is temp-to-perm and offers a unique chance to oversee the facility’s transition during a relocation period lasting approximately 13+ weeks. Flexible scheduling is required for this full-time day shift position.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the PIC for Arizona and other required states, ensuring active licensure maintenance.
- Manage compliance with FDA, DEA, USP <795>/<797>, and Arizona Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- Lead regulatory inspections and audits as the pharmacy’s representative.
- Develop, update, and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and staff training programs.
- Oversee licensure, accreditation, and regulatory documentation to maintain pharmacy standards.
- Submit mandatory reports regarding theft/loss, PIC changes, staff updates, and operational hours.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy.
- Active pharmacist license in Arizona plus multiple other states including AL, AK, AR, IL, KS, KY, LA, MD, MA, MS, NE, NV, OH, OK, OR, TN, TX.
- Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience, with demonstrated ability to manage and host regulatory inspections.
- Experience in compounding pharmacy operations and familiarity with DEA regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain rigorous quality and safety standards.
