A specialized leadership opportunity is available for a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to manage regulatory, operational, and quality compliance at a 503A compounding pharmacy in Chandler, AZ. This contract-to-perm role supports the pharmacy’s relocation process over approximately 13 weeks, requiring oversight of facility decommissioning and regulatory adherence.

This role is ideal for a highly experienced pharmacist with multiple state licenses, including Arizona plus any combination of AL, AK, AR, IL, KS, KY, LA, MD, MA, MS, NE, NV, OH, OK, OR, TN, TX. Candidates may split license requirements if partnering with another pharmacist. The position demands a proactive approach to maintain compliance with Arizona Board of Pharmacy regulations, FDA, DEA, and USP <795>/<797> standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the PIC for Arizona and additional licensed states, ensuring all legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain active pharmacist licensure in required states.
  • Lead regulatory inspections, audits, and represent the pharmacy during official reviews.
  • Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and staff training programs.
  • Manage state and federal reporting, including incident reports and licensure changes.
  • Oversee accreditation, licensure documentation, and continuous quality improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Active pharmacist license in Arizona and multiple other states noted above.
  • Minimum of 2 years pharmacy experience with demonstrated ability to host regulatory inspections.
  • Strong knowledge of compounding pharmacy operations and DEA regulations.

  • Full-time day shift with schedule flexibility.
  • Position based in Chandler, Arizona.
  • Contract-to-perm engagement.
