A compelling opportunity is available for a Pharmacist-in-Charge to assume a critical leadership role within a 503A compounding pharmacy located in Chandler, AZ. This contract-to-permanent position focuses on overseeing regulatory compliance, operational management, and quality assurance as the facility transitions to a new location. The initial contract term is approximately 13 weeks, with potential for longer engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the designated Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for Arizona and other required state licenses.
  • Maintain active pharmacist licensure covering multiple states including AL, AK, AR, IL, KS, KY, LA, MD, MA, MS, NE, NV, OH, OK, OR, TN, TX.
  • Ensure full compliance with FDA, DEA, USP <795>/<797> guidelines, and Arizona Board of Pharmacy regulations.
  • Lead and coordinate pharmacy operations and serve as the primary contact during regulatory inspections and audits.
  • Develop, update, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and staff training programs.
  • Submit necessary regulatory reports including those related to theft/loss, and communicate changes in PIC, staffing, or operational hours to the Board of Pharmacy.
  • Oversee licensure, accreditation, and all required regulatory documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Active pharmacist licensure in Arizona and multiple additional states listed above.
  • Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience, with demonstrated expertise in hosting inspections and familiarity with compounding pharmacy operations.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements including DEA and USP standards.
  • Flexibility to adapt scheduling to meet full-time day shift operational needs.
