This opportunity offers a leadership role as Pharmacist in Charge in a community pharmacy setting located in Cherry Hill, NJ. The position is contract-based, with flexibility for contract-to-hire or other arrangements. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the pharmacy’s full compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements, including managing investigations related to improper activities.
- Oversee, train, and supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians, fostering a productive and professional work environment.
- Develop, implement, and enforce operational policies and procedures for medication dispensing, safety protocols, and security measures.
- Maintain accurate inventory records with special attention to controlled substances, ensuring proper storage and management.
- Lead patient counseling efforts, implement performance improvement initiatives, and manage quality assurance programs to promote patient safety and service excellence.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active and clear pharmacist license in New Jersey.
- Minimum of 2 years in a pharmacy management or supervisory role.
- At least 3 years of recent community pharmacy experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English, with strong bilingual communication skills.
- Experience working with Pioneer RX software.
- Comfortable managing prescription volume of approximately 20-25 scripts daily.
- Ability to provide strong technical support and guidance to pharmacy personnel.
