A pharmacy leadership opportunity is available for a Pharmacist in Charge to oversee daily operations and ensure regulatory compliance. This contract position, with options for contract to hire, requires bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Saturday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring adherence to all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations, including managing investigations related to improper activity.
  • Supervising, training, and managing pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians.
  • Establishing and enforcing policies and procedures focused on medication dispensing, safety, and security.
  • Managing inventory with an emphasis on controlled substances, maintaining accurate records, and proper storage.
  • Implementing quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives, conducting patient counseling, and prioritizing patient safety.

Qualifications:

  • Active and clear New Jersey pharmacist license.
  • At least 2 years of management experience in a pharmacy setting.
  • Minimum of 3 years recent experience in community pharmacy.
  • Proficiency in both Spanish and English is required.
  • Familiarity with Pioneer RX computer system preferred.
  • Ability to handle a prescription volume of 20-25 scripts daily.
  • Strong technical support skills.
