A pharmacy leadership opportunity is available for a Pharmacist in Charge to oversee daily operations and ensure regulatory compliance. This contract position, with options for contract to hire, requires bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Saturday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring adherence to all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations, including managing investigations related to improper activity.
- Supervising, training, and managing pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians.
- Establishing and enforcing policies and procedures focused on medication dispensing, safety, and security.
- Managing inventory with an emphasis on controlled substances, maintaining accurate records, and proper storage.
- Implementing quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives, conducting patient counseling, and prioritizing patient safety.
Qualifications:
- Active and clear New Jersey pharmacist license.
- At least 2 years of management experience in a pharmacy setting.
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience in community pharmacy.
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English is required.
- Familiarity with Pioneer RX computer system preferred.
- Ability to handle a prescription volume of 20-25 scripts daily.
- Strong technical support skills.
