A bilingual Pharmacist in Charge role is available in Cherry Hill, NJ, offering a flexible engagement structure including contract, contract-to-hire, and open to other options. This position oversees pharmacy operations, ensuring regulatory compliance while leading a team in a community pharmacy setting.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Saturday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws and managing investigations into any irregularities.
- Supervising, training, and managing pharmacy staff including pharmacists and technicians.
- Developing and enforcing operational policies to maintain safe and secure medication dispensing practices.
- Overseeing inventory management with a focus on controlled substances and proper medication storage.
- Leading patient safety initiatives, conducting counseling, and managing quality assurance and performance improvement programs.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Active and clear New Jersey pharmacist license.
- Minimum of 2 years’ management experience within a pharmacy environment.
- At least 3 years recent experience working in community pharmacy preferred.
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English to effectively serve a diverse patient population.
- Familiarity with Pioneer RX pharmacy software.
- Comfortable managing a daily prescription volume of 20-25 scripts.
- Ability to leverage good technical support resources to enhance pharmacy operations.
