Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Chico, California

An Interim Pharmacist In Charge role is available for an immediate start in Chico, CA. This contract position spans approximately 12-13 weeks and offers the opportunity to lead pharmacy operations within a busy retail environment.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Oversee full-cycle prescription processing and dispensing, including communication with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients
• Manage and supervise pharmacy technicians, ensuring smooth daily operations
• Open and close the pharmacy in accordance with procedures
• Complete all required Pharmacy In Charge paperwork and compliance documentation
• Utilize McKesson Enterprise (ERx) for pharmacy management

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years recent retail pharmacy experience required; prior retail Pharmacist In Charge experience highly preferred
• Current California pharmacist license in-hand
• Immunization certification and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) card required
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage day-to-day pharmacy operations
