An Interim Pharmacist In Charge role is available for an immediate start in Chico, CA. This contract position spans approximately 12-13 weeks and offers the opportunity to lead pharmacy operations within a busy retail environment.
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Oversee full-cycle prescription processing and dispensing, including communication with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients
- Manage and supervise pharmacy technicians, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Open and close the pharmacy in accordance with procedures
- Complete all required Pharmacy In Charge paperwork and compliance documentation
- Utilize McKesson Enterprise (ERx) for pharmacy management
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years recent retail pharmacy experience required; prior retail Pharmacist In Charge experience highly preferred
- Current California pharmacist license in-hand
- Immunization certification and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) card required
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage day-to-day pharmacy operations
