Pharmacist in Charge in Chico, CA

This opportunity seeks an experienced Pharmacist ready to serve as an Interim Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) at a well-established retail pharmacy in Chico, CA. This contract role is set to begin immediately on June 22 and will last approximately 12-13 weeks, offering a dynamic environment with a full retail pharmacy operation schedule.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full cycle prescription processing and dispensing, including communications with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients.
• Supervise and manage pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient pharmacy operations.
• Perform opening and closing procedures for the pharmacy.
• Serve as the designated Pharmacist In Charge and complete all required documentation and regulatory paperwork.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years recent retail pharmacy experience.
• Prior experience as a Pharmacist In Charge in a retail setting is highly preferred.
• Current California pharmacist license in hand.
• Certified to administer immunizations and hold a valid BLS card.
• Familiarity with McKesson Enterprise (ERx) pharmacy system is necessary.
