Per Diem Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) - Chicopee, Massachusetts

A specialty home infusion pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee operations during an interim period. This per diem role is ideal for a licensed pharmacist with prior PIC experience who is comfortable managing a new, low-volume pharmacy environment. The position involves temporarily assuming leadership responsibilities while the client searches for a permanent candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as Pharmacist in Charge, ensuring compliance with state regulations and pharmacy standards
• Maintain licensure visibly displayed on-site per regulatory requirements
• Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations in a specialty home infusion setting
• Provide leadership and guidance to the pharmacy team, ensuring quality patient care
• Collaborate with staff to uphold safety, accuracy, and efficiency within the pharmacy
• Support the onboarding process for any new permanent staff as needed

Qualifications:

• Current Massachusetts pharmacy license required
• Proven PIC experience in a pharmacy setting
• Prior experience in home infusion, specialty infusion, or specialty pharmacy preferred
• Strong organizational skills with an ability to work independently
• Commitment to maintaining high professional standards

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
• Duration: Approximately 8 weeks
