Pharmacist in Charge - Chisholm, MN

An interim Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) opportunity is available to manage a retail pharmacy attached to a hospital setting. This is a contract position based in Chisholm, MN, providing vital pharmaceutical services with a focus on outpatient and discharge medication management.

This role involves working as the PIC and a hands-on pharmacist managing daily pharmacy operations in a lower volume retail pharmacy connected to a hospital. The pharmacy primarily supports patient discharge processes, ensuring accurate and timely medication dispensing and counseling.

Responsibilities:

• Verify, fill, and check prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Oversee and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians
• Consult with healthcare providers to optimize patient drug therapy
• Counsel patients on prescription and over-the-counter medications
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and pharmacy standards

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with experience as a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC)
• Strong knowledge of retail and hospital outpatient pharmacy operations
• Ability to manage pharmacy staff and pharmacy workflow effectively
