A leadership opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist with expertise in long-term care (LTC) pharmacy operations. This role is based in Cibolo, TX, offering a direct hire position within a closed-door LTC pharmacy setting. The pharmacist will play a critical part in overseeing pharmacy operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting quality patient care in nursing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with LTC regulations including CMS, DEA, and state board requirements specific to nursing facilities
- Manage pharmacy workflows such as eMAR systems, cycle fills, and medication cart processes
- Utilize LTC pharmacy software platforms like PrimeCare, DocuTrack, TCGRx, and Parata to optimize pharmacy operations
- Collaborate effectively with consultant pharmacists and interdisciplinary care teams
- Lead operational initiatives while maintaining focus on supporting long-term care residents
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven expertise in LTC pharmacy environments, with prior experience strongly preferred in long-term care or closed-door pharmacies
- Deep understanding of LTC regulatory requirements and pharmacy systems
- Proficiency with eMAR, cycle fills, and LTC medication distribution workflows
- Familiarity with consultant pharmacist roles and interdisciplinary communication
Education & Licensure:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required
- Active Texas Registered Pharmacist license mandatory
Benefits & Compensation:
- Annual salary range of $135,000 – $150,000, dependent on experience
