Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Citrus Heights, California

An experienced Pharmacist In Charge is needed for an interim assignment starting immediately in the Citrus Heights area. This contract position offers the opportunity to lead pharmacy operations in a retail setting for an 8- to 13-week duration.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Sundays: Closed

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee full-cycle prescription processing and dispensing, including communication with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients
• Manage and supervise pharmacy technicians, ensuring efficiency and compliance
• Responsible for opening and closing pharmacy procedures
• Complete all required Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) documentation and compliance paperwork

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Must possess a valid California pharmacist license with immunization certification and BLS (Basic Life Support) card current
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in retail pharmacy, with strong preference given to candidates who have prior PIC experience
• Proficiency with McKesson Enterprise (ERx) pharmacy systems is highly preferred
• Ability and willingness to take on full PIC responsibilities immediately
