Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Clear Lake, Iowa

Lead pharmacy operations as a Pharmacist in Charge at a busy retail location in Prophetstown, IL, on a contract to hire basis. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented pharmacist ready to oversee daily functions and ensure full regulatory compliance in a dynamic pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians, fostering a collaborative and efficient team.
• Review and verify prescriptions with precision to uphold patient safety and accuracy.
• Manage medication inventory, controlled substances, and maintain pharmacy records meticulously.
• Develop and uphold pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve medication-related issues and enhance patient care.
• Maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient workflow in alignment with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

• Clear and active Illinois pharmacist license.
• Experience in management or as a Pharmacist in Charge is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with McKesson Enterprise software is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Location: Prophetstown, IL
Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
